The decision to appeal an unfavorable trial court ruling should
be made based on three questions: Is there a viable issue to
appeal? Is there a sufficient record to support my argument?
And is the best option for me to proceed with an appeal?
What is an Appeal?
An appeal is a request to a higher (appellate) court for that
court to review and change the decision of a lower court.
Because post-trial motions requesting trial courts to change
their own judgments or order new jury trials are so seldom
successful, a person seeking to overturn an unfavorable
decision or verdict must obtain competent legal advice to
maneuver through the appellate process.
What happens in an appeal?
What are my chances on appeal?
What is the success rate of your firm?
